11/06/09 DSD One Shot: Spooky DSD One Shot kicked off two weeks ago. October's One Shot was to draw your best interpretation of the word "SPOOKY". Check out Draw Sucka's blog to see what Foo, Kassandra, Jongmee, Kelly and Miker came up with!
8/06/09 The Fries on the Prize!! Food Fight III kicked off last week with the Chili Fries in complete control! Chili Cheese Fry Monster soundly dismantled Suds and the Salt Lickers and Chili Fry Smasher battled down to the wire against Cheese Burgette. 5/15/09 Motor City Comic Con 2009 DRAW SUCKA invaded the Motor City Comic Con on May 15-17 at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Michigan. We met several new friends and had some good times! Check out some pictures posted on Draw Sucka's blog!.
4/17/09 The Triumphant Return! Sketches From A Hat made a grand return last week at the DSD@CCS potluck! We had a tremendous spread of food, and almost twenty artists participated in sketching games! 3/28/09 DSD@CCS twice in APRIL?? So I was thinking of doing another DSD@CCS in addition to
the one on the 18th. Emily is still scheduled for that Saturday. However, I was
thinking of not having a potluck before the Saturday drawing session and having it right after my class on Friday.
So the hypothetical agenda would run as follows:
2/25/08 Draw Sucka! Draw! Sketchbook 1 Comic Con Edition A special edition of the Draw Sucka! Draw! Sketchbook 1 has been printed and will be on sale at the Motor City Comic Con, and at SPX this year. Drop me an email if you are interested in picking up a copy before convention time! 3/21/08 DSD@CCS again! On Saturday, March 21, Draw Sucka makes another appearance in the hallowed halls of CCS. Instead of being held on its regular night of Thursday, Draw Sucka will meet up in C303 Saturday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Emily will be our model again, so that means that there will be a $3 cover charge for everyone, to cover fees. I am planning a few games for the evening. So come down and have fun with us! 2/13/08 Friday the 13th? Just draw, Sucka! On Friday, February 13, Draw Sucka makes its first appearance in the hallowed halls of CCS. Instead of being held on its regular night of Thursday, Draw Sucka will meet up in C303 Friday night from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. A model will be hired to pose for the sketchers all night. There will be a $3 cover charge for everyone, to cover model fees. There may be a potluck dinner just before the drawing begins, but those details are still being worked out. 12/18/08 Pickle Party? On Thursday December 18th, Black Lotus held its annual pickle party, and we were there to enjoy the free pickles, and of course... to DRAW! Here are a few sketches we drew of a few characters from that night. We passed around a piece of sketch paper and tried to fill each sheet with pickle goodness! So here are the two sketches. The first is a guy we call Emo Frank the Pickle Lover and the second is DJ Invisible who is available for hire. Enjoy our scribbles! Click here to check out the sketches!
12/11/08 Jongmee Birthday Bash! On December 11th, we celebrated Jongmee's Birthday and we had our annual Christmas party at Miker's. We ate pizza and lemon cake, played pin-the-tail-on-Tyler, and participated in a game of generic twister. Ah yes...Click here to check out some pics!
11/15/08 Draw Sucka presents ADDICTED TO PIXELS Draw! Sucka Draw! is pround to announce its first group show happening at the Black Lotus Brewing Company in early February! As you may know, the theme is ADDICTED TO PIXELS. All the art worked featured in the show will be inspired by guilty pleasure video games. Invitations will be sent out shortly. The submissions are subject to jury. 10/30/08 Zombie Beauty Pageant Winner is Crowned! The competition was fierce as all of our zombies battled it out for the top spot! In the end though, the winner ended up being Kristen. The battle for the top spot was so close, only a half a point separated first and second! Congrats to everyone who competed this year! 10/24/08 Heidi the hunter... Richie the hunted! In one of the strangest sketch games we have ever played, our little sketch goup all drew our own little Heidi (who is the sweetest girl in the world) as a hunter. What is she hunting? Well, a very innocent caribou name Richie... Click here for more!
09/27/08 DRAW SUCKA Kickball in full effect!! Its all about kickball! The Draw Sucka gang had some fun this past fall. We played two games of kickball at Kenwood Park in the month of September.
